Take Action to Fight Hunger!

About This Campaign

September is Hunger Action Month – a month when people all over America stand and take action to address chronic food insecurity. This year, in the midst of a pandemic, the need is even greater. As an important supporter of Foodlink, will you join us?

Every dollar counts because 60,000 more of our neighbors are facing hunger since COVID-19 began. To expand our reach rapidly when the pandemic hit, Foodlink opened a second warehouse facility and set up more than 200 direct food distribution events around the region. As donated food dwindled amidst supply chain disruptions, we purchased much more healthy food to reach those in need.

Make the month of September Hunger Action Month in your household, too. We are so grateful for supporters like you who care so much about the families we serve. We are confident that together, we can make a difference.

Campaign to Support Foodlink

Foodlink is the Feeding America food bank serving Allegany, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates counties. For more than 40 years, we have leveraged the power of food to end hunger and build healthier communities. Through good stewardship, innovation and collaboration, Foodlink mobilizes a diverse network of community partners to eradicate both the symptoms and root causes of hunger. Foodlink’s community health programs provide new access points to nutritious and affordable food in under served communities. We empower individuals and families to make healthy choices through nutrition education initiatives. Our food banking operations distribute millions of pounds of food to a network of nonprofit members. The Foodlink Community Kitchen nourishes thousands of children daily with healthy meals, slices locally grown apples, and prepares people for culinary careers through a one-of-a-kind career empowerment program.
