No One Should Spend Thanksgiving Hungry
A fundraising campaign for Foodlink.
About This Campaign
There is nothing like Thanksgiving Day to remind us of the power of food. As we gather around the table, it becomes clear that food doesn’t just nourish our bodies — it nourishes our relationships with loved ones, and is a reminder of all we have to be grateful for.
Your gift today helps supply the thousands of healthy meals our emergency food network will distribute over the holiday season. Every $1 you give helps provide up to 3 meals. How is that possible? Because Foodlink distributes over 20 million pounds of food each year and we steward our resources so carefully that 96% of every dollar goes to help our neighbors.
We are so grateful for your kindness and generosity toward the many families we serve, especially during this joyous but difficult time of year. Thank you for your gift, and for making space at the table for all.
Campaign to Support Foodlink
Foodlink is the Feeding America food bank serving Allegany, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates counties. For more than 40 years, we have leveraged the power of food to end hunger and build healthier communities. Through good stewardship, innovation and collaboration, Foodlink mobilizes a diverse network of community partners to eradicate both the symptoms and root causes of hunger. Foodlink’s community health programs provide new access points to nutritious and affordable food in under served communities. We empower individuals and families to make healthy choices through nutrition education initiatives. Our food banking operations distribute millions of pounds of food to a network of nonprofit members. The Foodlink Community Kitchen nourishes thousands of children daily with healthy meals, slices locally grown apples, and prepares people for culinary careers through a one-of-a-kind career empowerment program.
