Food insecurity around the holidays, especially for children, can be devastating; with some families in a delicate balance to keep a roof over their head, heat their homes, and keep food on the table. This issue, which persisted in 2023, is being worsened by the ongoing increase in inflation. In a scenario similar to 2022, the average person typically allocates around 12% of their income to cover food costs, while those in the lowest income bracket are forced to spend more than 30%. As a result, when individuals are confronted with such tight budget constraints, they often have to cut back on essential expenses, with health and food being the first areas to suffer. Now, think about the significant impact this would have on your children, both in the short term and over the long haul.
Foodlink is facing an increased demand for services from its members, exacerbated by economic disruptions across the US, residual impacts from the pandemic, supply chain shortages, and inflation.
We’re seeking your support to provide extra stability and cheer for our community this holiday season. The program will run through Wednesday, December 20th. As we did for the past 4 years, we will continue with our matching program of a $1.25 Cerion donation for every $1.00 donated by team members.

In 2019, Cerion raised a total of $6,300 for Foodlink; in 2020 we increased this amount by 49% raising a total of $9,378, in 2021 we increased our 2020 total by 21% raising a total of $11,318 and in 2022 we increased our total again by 21% for a total of $13,706.
