  2. 2019 Urban Ag Conference

Join the Urban Agriculture Working Group for our 4th Annual Urban Ag Conference! This year, the conference will be held at World of Inquiry School #58 on Saturday, May 4th, from 10am to 4pm. The conference is a day for community and home gardeners, educators, and leaders in Rochester to connect and celebrate urban agriculture! The conference offers several opportunities to connect with community gardens. Join us for workshops, discussions, tabling sessions, a seed swap, and more!

We are so excited to offer a Rain Barrel Construction Workshop for a second year in a row! Please note that there will be an additional $20 fee for materials costs. There are 20 spots available!

But wait, there’s more! Everyone is welcome to participate in guided urban ag tours in two Rochester neighborhoods! Transportation for 20 people per tour will be provided courtesy of the City of Rochester; participants are welcome to follow in their own vehicle. We expect to return to the conference by 4:10pm.

Are you a teacher working with school gardens? For the second year, Finger Lakes Eat Smart New York is offering a full-day, Sustainable School Gardens Teacher Training Workshop! Please note that this workshop will occur simultaneously with the general conference. However, you will join the other participants for the lunch hour, as well as the tabling sessions and seed swaps before and after the workshops. RCSD Professional Development credit is available!

To purchase your ticket, please click the “Register” button on this page and follow the prompts. Please be sure to fill out the Ticket Holder Information, as well as the Additional Information section regarding ticketing information.
